But in their intended form, the acoustimass 3 system seem to be ok I definitely wouldn't want something like those for my main speakers, atmos speakers or even main rears I've got much better speakers for all those purposes But for a 2nd set of rears for a 7 1 2 setup these will work fine Thanks again for all the input and feedback Mike

If you must have in-ceiling speakers then 45deg angled is the most you can get so you will still be about 15deg off axis with a x x 6 setup (unless you relocate the front and rears closer to 45deg elevation) I found that Atmos speakers are the least affected by timbre matching and the least necessary to be quality speakers

These speakers the mtx 60i, rocktower and dayton t65 are all made by obscure speaker manufacturers nit the main stream guys So they have been overlooked in the audiophile community As you mentioned in the other thread the 8000f is a standout under 1k because its well buily has a large cabinet and dual 8 inch woofers that alot in that price
