I saw a theory that the reason the smiley face in the basement looks like Spamton but not exactly Spamton (and it's called SMILE_FRIEND in the files) is that Mike might have tried to get the NEO body for him by successfully fooling the Swatchlings with a Swatch disguise, then dying in the basement after not finding enough healing items to survive the teacup ride
