I bought 2 new NF scopes from SportOptics One was a SHV 3-10 the other was the NX8 1-8 I first opened and installed the SHV 3-10 on my Ruger 10 22 Competition Then opened the NX8 weeks later to find out the battery was pre installed in the scope unlike the SHV I attempted to open the cover to inspect the battery and the cap just fell off
