I recently bough an OSP capable slide for my Gen 1 XD-9 4" from Springfield-Armory Now I am looking for sight recommendations Any suggestion on Sights that are supported by the three optical mounting plates that Springfield provides? This is not for my EDC weapon, but for a general use

The gal at Springfield said that any parts they send you can be replaced by the end user, i e they send nothing out that would interfere with "safety issues" I took this to mean that the recoil spring assembly replacement by the end user is NOT anything of concern as to voiding the warranty I did not however specifically ask her that either

I had to call Springfield about something else and asked them why the serial number is on the slide and barrel The customer service person not only couldn't answer my question, but was surprised the number is on the slide and barrel Anyone have a 45acp XDS without the serial number on the slide and barrel?

Remove = left to right side of slide (viewed from top) Install =- Right to left (viewed from top) But I warn you, XD sights are the tightest in the industry and you will likely ding, scratch or damage your slide trying to remove them without proper tools such as the MGW sight pusher tool Send a PM to Ajames on the forum He does them for a lot of members here
