Do you have the correct clutch belt ? Sounds like the belt may be to long or not of the correct width If the belt is to long or not wide enough, when the engine speeds up and the primary clutch starts to close, if either of the above conditions exist, then it will be like trying to start moving a car with a manual shift transmission in third gear

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5 7 hemi that had a nasty squealing noise Makes noise all the time Thought it was a worn out belt Changed that Sounded good first day but the next day it started the squealing again Sounds awful Don't know if it could be a pulley or what Any help appreciated Thanks!

Re: Squealing Drive belt The belt wears the clutch sheaves, usually from the dust and dirt flying around under the cart gets in the belt This takes many years but eventually wears into the sheaves (sheave is one side of a pulley for a belt) and puts grooves in them from the belt

When driving at most any speed i hear this squealing noise It stops whenever i apply that brakes I had all my pads as well as two rotors replaced, the other two where resurfaced, about two months ago At low speeds it i can hear it off and on, like as the wheel rotates i hear it then it goes away, then comes back Any ideas what this could be

Re: Squealing Noise When Starting Another thing is I gained a little power back by blowing the dust out of the clutch, all I could figure was blowing the dust out just allowed the internal parts to move easier and fully

I had the same problem, When I turn the wheel to the right it squealing squeaky and when i turned it to the left it got louder It turns out it was the wheel bearing Jack up the truck, grabe the tire from the top and bottom and move it up and down If there is play or the axel shaft moves with the tire, you got a bad wheel bearing

My cart sometimes makes a high pitched squealing noise when the pedal is pressed I can usually take my foot off and press it again and it goes The problem is this is not a belt slipping issue I got it to replicate the sound while I was watching all the pulleys and none were moving It does seem to do this more when it has been driven a while
