Hi, During the installation of VLC 2 2 4 on Windows 7 I noticed that some selected file type associations are not associated with VLC but to Windows Media Player Example of this issue:

I just bought a new laptop and downloaded the latest version of VLC, and every time I play anything, the first half-second or so gets cut off Extremely annoying and I've been using Media Player Classic instead now until this gets fixed (I still prefer VLC otherwise)

Re: Capture video from VHS Postby VLC_help » 28 Nov 2010 16:20 Most likely VLC cannot do real time H 264 capture with your computer and that causes issues Best option is to capture with some fast encoder (like huffYUV) and then do two-pass encode later with some proper tool
