After beating the game twice, I can confirm the Dreamflower Elixer is legit, and giving the flowers to Sha’rim will prevent you from getting the Dreamflower ending

You don't even need to complete the Rhalâta quest line, and who you side with if do you complete it doesn't matter If you don't have the Dreamflower when you gain access to the room, you can still come back when you do get the Dreamflower and still use the decomposer
