TAW was literally talking about this 3 years ago as a form of open access and way for any operator to buy a time slot on a given rail line If people missed that discussion called Toll Roads For Trains it was a great idea and discussion I am also a supporter of this idea, things need to change badly within the industry!

TAW, what an outstanding piece of writing When I saw the news, my reaction was “not the first day!” I feel for those families impacted by the injuries and loss of life, but also for those like you who have poured such much time and energy in to making the new route a reality

I respect TAW for his information on how railroads work and don't work, for his perception of management's blindness, and will always read his posts However the problem is the signals passed at danger (SPAD), collisions, incursions into work zones, and overspeed derailments
