Great instrument, Technics' best range and this was the top model Able to emulate other makes of electronic organs - Conn, Lowrey, Gulbransen, Eminent and two flavours of Hammond, plus classical and theatre pipe organs It does them very well, especially the Conn impersonation

Re: Technics disk drive problems Have you tried cleaning the drive with one of those floppy disc cleaners? If that fails to fix the issue, you can replace the floppy drive To my knowledge, the EA FA series uses a standard PC floppy drive

Two things 1) Does the Technics send expression pedal data (usually Control Change 11 - abbreviated to CC11) and does the expander recognise CC11? 2) Do the MIDI channels used for this data match on the organ and the expander? You'll find this information in the MIDI Implementation Chart found in the owners manuals for the organ and expander
