JT, early in the Blackstone thread, there were two modes of thought expressed relating to flaming knobs 1 You get what you pay for, it's still a great oven and will still get plenty hot when the knob is at a non flame setting, be happy with what you've got and use it

Assuming lid means replacing the Blackstone upper stone assembly with a 22 5" weber charcoal grill lid, here's the answer It is a fairly simple modification Take off the BS lid and remove the upper stone assembly Place the grill lid on top and mark where the front stainless cuts off the otherwise round body of the grill

Resurrecting my 5 year old BS, and doing some maintenance, repairs and upgrades One thing I could use is a new stone or two I think I can get one directly from Blackstone, but are there other suggestions for better options? Anyone use a soapstone? I see a number of 16 5" stones on Amazon, but I'm concerned with their ability to handle 800
