The TOZ-17 series was designed in 1956-1957 but does not give production dates The TOZ-78 series is similar in that the page give design dates of 1986-1987 Clearly the 78 series of rifles being designed well after the C R 50 year cutoff date is not C R The TOZ-8 series history does give production dates and would appear to be C R rifles

The TOZ 17 is an excellent 22 I own many 22s; including several CZ 452s, the standard Ruger 10 22, come classic Mossbergs, and a WZ-48 The TOZ had the best stock trigger of the bunch, is easily adjustable, and said by others, not hard to work on yourself I have not needed any extractor work, but clearly it is not uncommon

After recently picking up a really nice vintage Central Arms Co hammered SXS, I found a Tula (USSR) manufactured TOZ-66 which was a deal I couldn't pass up It's in good shape, feels like it's built like a T90 tank, and will do the job albeit with an extra challenge of cocking hammers for Classic Cowboy
