Here is an easy one My tranny gasket was about gone so I replaced it I dropped the pan, changed the filter and gasket and then replaced the pan I put four qaurts Dextron Mercron III tranny fluid into it Started motor, let it get hot, shifted through all gears and checked the fluid level

The tranny is marked as: on case - GM patent # 3088336 then 7-1, then P R07 On slider shift cover plate - 3884685, on the spline input shaft housing - GM14 and 38 (or 9)15020 The tranny case to the end of the input shaft measure 6-9 16" The pilot section in the bushing is 1 750" - 1 800" long, The 10 spline end is 2 350"

On the tranny plug Run 12 volts over to tranny plug touch with the 12 volts one blade at a time and listen for a click from relay inside trans You will hear it Then that's the blade you run your 12 volts to from gas pedal switch

Well after putting in the new clutch and bellhousing I tried to get the transmission in with absolutely no luck I thought that things weren't aligned correctly and the input shaft was hitting the pilot bushing Well I take the bellhousing off and re-align the clutch disc with a clutch
