The Traxxas system works great tons of tire speed but needs a low gear for crawling so it should work for you I run the 2 speed with the high blue gear set and in first it is lower geared than stock and crawls great than second rips way faster probably 13ish MPH

So I ripped up the TRAXXAS eac the first week I had the truck and put a Mamba X in with a 2850 motor I also acquired the TRAXXAS LED kit After I installed it I realized that the LED controller has two inputs, one plug to the receiver with a red wire and a short plug that is to be connected

hi, new to this hobby Good news is my wife is into it now too so better odds of improving what we have Her rig is a Traxxas Slash 2wd (I have one too) and my crawler is a TRX4 (Literally arrives tomorrow) I have read watched a lot of reviews and the general consensus is the steering servo

Traxxas marketing has obviously paid off over the years I'm used to having to change most everything on a new vehicle to get it to perform as I like but this one actually surprised me I guess as they took the correct gears out and put in something completely inappropriate for it's current configuration In the end, it will perform like I want
