If there's a tsunami, out to sea is the best place they can be - I'm not sure they'd even feel it However, if the undersea quake triggers a rogue wave (not the same thing as a tsunami), that can cause a bad day for people It won't capsize the ship a la Poseidon Adventure, but there are videos on YouTube of what happens
