Is the use of TYP or Typical acceptable and if so can someone point me to a reference that calls that out? I have an orange copy of Dimensioning and Tolerancing ANSI Y14 5M -1982 On page 18 1 9 5 Repetitive Features or Dimensions it specified you can use "X" but I see nothing regarding

You may even use TYP 5 PLACES as a local note (make sure you call out the number of PL)as long as it is clear It is a good practice to have seperate drawings for L H R H to document say tooling changes on one that may not be needed on both drawings , (tool hole etc )it just gives you better control of Drawings
