Prior to avatar hider being added to the game, I would agree with you However, the reason I lean on shaders now is because talking to robots entirely kills the vrchat vibe, in my opinion People use avatars to express themselves, so by limiting which avatars you can see, you are effectively cutting off part of the vrchat experience

Unless something has changed in the last year or so vrchat has always limited itself to one cpu core rather than multi core Mods used to allow spreading over multiple cores but EAC made that no longer possible Even with a high end system single core performance is the limiting factor
