Well, that didn't fix it I deleted the gmail account on my iphone, then added it Now it just shows up as "gmail" and not the gmail address and still no Trash All of my other accounts have Trash I opened up the GMail app and signed in with that gmail (I have 3 gmails) and there is a Trash bin there

The only photos that you can delete with the trash can are those in the Camera Roll Photos that you have synced to the device from the computer with iTunes have to be removed in the same way, through the sync process To remove the photos, remove the checkmark in iTunes for the photos you wish to remove and then sync

I needed more patience I found that it will never show up under mailboxes until you have something in the trash I had emptied trash Once you have something in the trash I hit rebuild under the mailbox tab It still did not show the trash until I exited mail and re-opened mail I hope this helps somebody else out
