The SF Champ has a Blackface-style tone stack (bass treble with fixed midrange), which robs the amp of more gain than the simple "tweed" style tone control It wouln't be that hard to rewire the amp to have a tweed style tone control You'd have to drop the voltages a little, too 5F1 does NOT have a tone control Volume control only

I have seen other Champ schematics which list the same 2 25 value- and the original cap in the amp I am working on also says 2 25 There ARE two others in the circuit marked 25 25; one on pin 8 of the 6v6 power tube, the other on pin 3 of the 12ax7 preamp tube
