Tl;dr: ratemyprofessor is a good reference, but you should learn to ‘decode’ reviews and corroborate by speaking to people who have taken the professor or know them in a professional capacity Edit: I think it’s also very important to note that there can be unintentional bias against professors who have accents

I do use RateMyProfessor when deciding which Professor to take a course with I am aware that each review is an opinion I am also aware that each opinion is based on whether or not the individual passed or failed the course I am also aware some students dislike work while others enjoy a challenge
