Reverb\delay was the most tweaked aspect of my rig However,in the last year I have settled down a bit after I got a Boss RV-6 It has a setting that is reverb + delay and both sound very good to my ears Check it out Good luck in your quest!

The original Session 400 and LTD 400 amps had RCA male to male cables Often times they get reversed where connected under the amp chassis Reverb will work but more hum when connected wrong The tank should also be installed with the connectors on the reverb pan facing the speaker A good cleaning of the connection points should be done as well

I used digital reverb for about 3 years and I am going back to the spring reverb for bandstand use Digital seems to me to roar if you play at loud volume I use a DD-3 If you set the Feed back level at about 1:00 o'clock, with the spring reverb, you get about the same amount of depth as you would with digital, minus the roar

I think most amps with built-in reverb tanks are all designed differently inside so I doubt you could make one product that would fit very many of them I guess someone could make a digital replacement tank, but they would have to make many versions, it would be costly to install and spring reverb is cheap and sounds pretty good and rarely fails

What a difference! Reverb greatly improved, problem "hiss" eliminated, clear crisp tone at higher volume Can't wait to gig with it Weighs more at 52lbs, but way lighter than my JBL Twin Reverb back-breaker! Sounds a lot like my JBL re-issue Deluxe Reverb Love those tube amps for pedal steel!
