Thats partly an urban myth - the officers are easily identifiable to snipers anyway due to their rank markings, not to mention that they are generally close to a radio Most armies don't salute in the field because it's considered inefficient if there's snipers about no one is going to be standing up and snapping to anyway

I tend to revise as I write - but the key here is that i'm actually writing - in the last year and a bit I've written 1 75 novels , a novella, three magazine articles, two short stories,, four poems, and four or five bits of flash (and thats not counting the technical writing I do at work)

I haven't heard of him Google seems to say that thats one poem in a collection of prose poems Which I think is the best way to format free verse I always end up trying to read free verse as a prose poem but the structure into lines makes it difficult to follow And redundant It seems the lines serve no actual poetic purpose Just a pretense

You're right I'm just saying that it's entirely a possibiliity, however unlikely If any of us writers are lucky (or unlucky depending on your values) enough to require a trademark for our characters, due to popularity, then that would be the answer in and of itself
