It has more mids than any Blackface I've had the pleasure of playing, but isn't at all farty in the lows like a Tweed can get when pushed I'm guessing the tone of a Milkman in general is more like Brownface of Blonde Fender, but since I've never played either, my theory is just a guess

The HP head into 2 x 12 is, as you might expect, a bassier, fuller and more 3D sound than the vintage VC with original (albeit reconed) 8'' speaker So for me, comparing the two (half pint versus the vibro champ) is a very apples to oranges scenario The reverb is also quite good on the Milkman

I have a Deluxe Reverb and it's my ideal guitar sound but for various reasons I can't use it in my recording studio and I love to have it at home to practice with I want something hands on and clean sounding, I don't need it to do a lot of different sounds, just the great clean sound

At first, I was tripping out on the sound when both sided are engaged because if you hit a muted string you get a slap back like delay sound So, I reached out to Tim at Milkman, and he said it is because it is wired the same way a traditional Fender amp is He was very patient with me and answered all of ny questions
