When did Dell turn so crappy? : r Dell - Reddit The 5000 seems a little better, but the truth is, Dell hasn't made a truly good laptop since the 6430U, circa 2013 They switched to cheap-feeling plastic for everything, the keyboards are blah, and now these 7000 series run so hot you actually won't be comfortable using it on your lap, and that seems like it has to impact long-term reliability
