For those that aren't familiar, by releasing one end, the whole belt can be unraveled like a daisy chain It contains about 100 feet of 550 The other advantage of the 2 piece Baldric is by keeping the knife hanging on the shorter piece, all the wear takes place there, so if it needs to be replaced, only the shorter piece is affected
