Gyu-Kaku is seriously the best Japanese food I’ve ever had. Gyu Kaku is a Japanese BBQ restaurant in Overland Park (and popular chain in Japan apparently) I didn’t even know it existed We were at the mall and just looking for places to grab food We got lucky because they happened to have an open table but they said it’s typically reservation only So if you go just make sure to plan for that
Japanese BBQ other than Gyu-Kaku : r houston - Reddit Sounds like you're looking for yakiniku, which is what Gyu-Kaku specializes in I haven't personally found any other places so hopefully someone chimes in if they know a place Other commenter mentioned KBBQ, which I absolutely loved since moving here a couple years ago My go-to's:
Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ opening in the old Libby Hill location! Also, I don't think a Japanese BBQ restaurant with this concept exists in GSO or the Triad It's an option for those who seek it People will spend money for it just like they do with $20-30 plates at Mimi's Cafe or $15 drinks at Dram and Draught
Japanese BBQ Place in LA : r orangecounty - Reddit Gyu Kaku Brea Huntington Beach location is run by the original franchisee a lovely Japanese Couple The Brea location has a top notch Manager who ran a location for Gyu Kaku in Japan for 10 years
Best Korean or Japanese BBQ? : r FoodToronto - Reddit I don’t recommend Shinta Japanese bbq, Gyubee, nor the old Korean Grill House at all All these places have nothing to do with actual Korea or Japan, they’re bastardized kbbq jbbq by Chinese and the quality are so poor which is an insult to the traditions of the other country I’d go for Daldongnae for actual Kbbq by KOREANS
[I ate] gyu kaku! Aka Japanese bbq. : r food - Reddit Went to college near White Plains so Gyu Kaku became the spot for birthdays if we weren’t too broke to afford it So good and honestly such a good deal for what you get If you go during happy hour you can get a ridiculous amount of steak, and get drunk, for ~$40-50 I always get the bibimbap when I go as well Phenomenal and really fills you up
Japanese BBQ : r askTO - Reddit Haven’t been to gyu kaku in Toronto but I used to go all the time in Vancouver The best value is the lunch special on weekdays or super happy hour Can easily fill you up for like 20 dollars I feel like the food is not as good at gyubee but I really like ayce, even though I don’t really feel like I’m getting any more value
