Whats the difference?. nsz . nsp . xci?? : r yuzu - Reddit nsz is a specially compressed nsp file There is also an xcz equivalent for xci files, but I don't think I've seen one in the wild Also note that yuzu doesn't support these xci is a cartridge dump nsp is an eshop package This is also the standard format for update files and DLC Between nsp and xci, there shouldn't be any performance
Sources for NSPs and XCIs - February 2019 : r SwitchPirates - Reddit NSP converted to XCI XCI including all updates and DLC As mentioned in the first post, it’s great for external HDD use Basically games that I ONLY play as party games when docked I keep on external HDD or games I simply just play sometimes and have lesser priority Or even games I’ve beaten and just keep for going back to sometimes
Whats better to use NSP or XCI? : r yuzu - Reddit Updates are always nsp Xci is a cartridge dump, nsp is an eshop file Since dlc updates ALWAYS come from the eshop, you can only get dlc updates as nsps So in short, yes don't worry about using nsp files for updates, as that's your only option
How to play with . nsp and . xci files? : r yuzu - Reddit Yuzu works with both extensions, you only need the base game, updates and DLC are optional, i normally use nsp extensions only But you need the emulator, latest version if possible, and the prod keys from your switch to use it Nothing else, just copy the Keys on their folder, and load the game you want to play on Yuzu
Noob here - How do I install a game on Ryujinx just off of a NSP file? Having a similar issue I have it pointing at a directory with the game in it but it wont show the game is broken up into 4 folders inside a single folder but 3 of the four folders don't seem to show anything in them
Tutorial: you can merge Switch games, updates and dlcs into a . . . - Reddit I already tried this but I think merging the files with xci format reduces the performance of games as compared to separately installing updates and DLC in nsp format I will recommend separately installing update DLC in yuzu android
FYI: Its possible to convert nsp only games to xci with NSC . . . - Reddit NSC Builder is great, but converting nsp to xci like this doesn't make it a valid gamecard dump The signatures won't stay intact because you have to modify the ncas inside the nsp to convert it into a gamecard image I highly doubt an nsp -> xci conversion will work
