how to replace crankshaft seal - Snowmobile Fanatics I need to replace the crankshaft seal PTO side on a 1997 polaris indy 500, I know that I have to pull the clutch, can the seal then be pulled out and press new one in, or do I have to disassemble the engine and crancase?
replacing crank bearings help - Snowmobile Fanatics I am rebuilding a 97 680 and need to pull off the two bearings on the pto side What tool will pull these off without damaging the counterweight? And could I put the new ones on by hammering on the inside of the bearing with a piece of pipe going over the shaft?

labyrinth seal? - Snowmobile Fanatics the labyrinth seal is a seal made by the oil and gas mixture around the crankshaft its not a mechanical seal like a rubber crank seal how are them 2 cylinders jetted compared to what its suppose to have? are the carb boots in good shape? vent lines in good shape air box mods, or it could be a simple crank seal that is bad spraying stuff around a crank seal wont make an engine rev up, but

Our 86 indy 400 will not stay running,it runs for 30 seconds then dies,usually fouling the pto plug Sometimes it will run for a couple minutes but idles up to 3000rpm then down to 1700 then back up
