Hushing \Hush"ing\, n. (Mining)
The process of washing ore, or of uncovering mineral veins,
by a heavy discharge of water from a reservoir; flushing; --
also called {booming} and {hydraulic mining}.

rushing with heavy roar; as, the booming of the sea; a deep,
