Adhesion \Ad*he"sion\, n. [L. adhaesio, fr. adhaerere: cf. F.
adh['e]sion.]
1. The action of sticking; the state of being attached;
intimate union; as, the adhesion of glue, or of parts
united by growth, cement, or the like.
