1937 Buick Trunk T handle - Antique Automobile Club of America I’m also looking for a handle for my 1937 model 47 plain back I’ve been told that the plain back and coupe use the same handle I took some measurements with the handle out of the trunk lid The distance from the top edge of the ferrule to the point in the latch where the handle seats is 1 95”
The faint smell of gasoline that follows old cars. Is it dangerous? I also had a loose fuel line connector that was dripping Since I have a 48 DeSoto, I made sure I put in a ferrule at the connection, but that didn't fix it After I had a radiator shop solder in a new fitting into the old fitting in the tank, there was no more leak or smell And no more need for a ferrule at the tank

‘65 side mirror cable adjust issues? - Buick Riviera - Antique . . . I had one brass retainer ferrule thingame missing on one wire so removed it from another mirror I had Drilled out the wire with a small number drill and soldered it back on Found I had to cut each wire back to the same length to get it to adjust correctly but that is normal on a Buick to do things twice 😀 😀 😀 😀
1931 Buick Sedan Series 60 throttle hookup and locating parts. The capillary air line appeared to be ok but after I got the tank out of the car and examined the fittings that attach and supposedly seal the line to the sending unit I discovered an incorrectly sized compression ferrule and a gunked up fitting someone tried to seal with RTV There was no way it was sealed
Lost key - Ford Model A - Antique Automobile Club of America . . . If you can find the key number- might need to pull the switch out - there was a guy on eBay that can cut a key from the code I had one done for a rumbleseat handle and it was spot on The ignition has it usually on the side of the ferrule where the key goes in or on the face below it I wish I could describe it better
