How to stipple? - The Quilting Forum - Missouri Stars Quilt Community Re: How to stipple? Stippling: What a Workout! - The Quilting Forum - Jenny Doan Re: Stippling: What a Workout! I'd use white or cream colored thread to quilt the polka dot blocks I'm not a fan of mono-filament thread because if your bobbin thread comes loose later on, your toes or fingers could get caught in the mono-filament and it doesn't break like regular thread That's one reason they say never use it on a baby or child's quilt
Cotton quilt top with flannel backing advice Hi All, I am working on a quilt top that is all unwashed cotton I have already purchased a perfect matching backing that is flannel My question is, since they shrink at different rates, should I wash and dry the flannel once before making my quilt sandwich? If so, would you suggest I use hot, warm or cold wash? Normal, permanent press or hot towel drying cycle? I'm afraid if I don't prewash
